Background

As a UI/UX intern on the design studio I contributed to the redesign of in-cab interfaces across both physical and digital touchpoints. My work focused on enhancing driver usability for a wide range of truck models by bridging hardware ergonomics with software behavior.

My contribution

• Co-designed next-gen digital cluster UIs for Freightliner, Western Star, and Mercedes-Benz, adapting visual styles to reflect brand identities while maintaining interaction consistency.

• Helped establish a component-based design system to ensure scalability across platforms and future-proof the visual language for upcoming truck models.

• Redesigned steering wheel button layouts through ergonomic studies and hardware configuration testing, improving accessibility and comfort for diverse driver profiles.

• Built interactive prototypes for “Panel B”, a configurable touchscreen interface, and supported multiple rounds of user testing during customer council sessions, collecting feedback from over 200 drivers.

• Synthesized user insights into actionable refinements and contributed to final design specs and engineering handoff documents.
